4 College Green, Gloucester.
The building consists of office accommodation contained within a period property. The client requested a review of the building as they felt the energy costs were unusually high. IE undertook an audit of the energy bills and a survey of the building. The energy contracts had not been re-procured for many years and the tariffs in place did not represent the best in market and the VAT rate being used was incorrect. The utility companies were contacted and within one week annual savings of over £3000 were achieved. The energy audit identified a number of areas for savings from short to long term measures. Adjustments to the existing controls made with permission at the time of the audit are forecast to save 10% of gas consumption and IE have procured contractors to provide quotations for other works.
