Church House, Gloucester.
This listed historic building houses the offices and meeting room facilities and is about to undergo a planned refurbishment. IE advised on simple measures that can be incorporated into the planned works which will both increase the comfort for the occupants and reduce the energy costs by 20%. In addition IE recommended minor revisions to the planned works which would make a more effective use of the water supplies to the building and allow the removal of one supply reducing the standing charges from unnecessary multiple supplies. The building had also been split into various tenancies and a review of the electrical distribution highlighted an incorrect wiring arrangement which resulted in one area being charged for another tenant’s usage.
